1. Introduction

These Terms of Use apply to all users of the ShipMatch application and related services. By using ShipMatch, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.

2. Service Description

ShipMatch is a platform that facilitates communication and quotation exchange between cargo owners, vessel owners, and brokers. ShipMatch does not provide shipping services and is not a party to any transportation or chartering contracts.

3. User Responsibilities

Users are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of all information they provide. ShipMatch does not verify or guarantee user-submitted data and is not liable for damages arising from false, misleading, or incomplete information.

4. Commercial Transactions and Payments

ShipMatch is not a party to any commercial or financial agreement made between users. All transactions occur at users’ own risk. Subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period begins. ShipMatch’s responsibility in any payment issue is limited to technical access and the service duration corresponding to the subscription.

Refund Policy

ShipMatch follows Paddle's standard minimum refund policy for purchases processed on ship-match.net.

1. 14-Day Refund Window

If your payment was processed by Paddle, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the original transaction date. For subscriptions, you may also request a full refund within 14 days of your most recent renewal payment.

This 14-day minimum refund window applies without additional restrictions imposed by ShipMatch. Where mandatory law gives you extra rights, those rights continue to apply.

2. Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals, and your access remains active until the end of the current paid billing period unless a refund is issued.

3. After 14 Days

After the 14-day refund window, partial or prorated refunds for unused time are generally not provided, unless required by applicable law or approved under Paddle or payment-provider rules.

4. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email support@ship-match.net with your account email address and payment details. If your purchase was processed by Paddle, you may also use Paddle's buyer support channel.

5. Data Usage and Privacy

User data may be processed only for service operation, improvement, and security purposes. ShipMatch may disclose data when required by law, legal authorities, or to protect platform integrity.

6. Account Security

Users are responsible for safeguarding login credentials. ShipMatch is not liable for unauthorized access or activity resulting from compromised accounts.

7. Disclaimer of Liability

ShipMatch shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss, data breach, reputational harm, or damages resulting from use of the platform. Users agree not to hold ShipMatch legally responsible or seek compensation from ShipMatch for disputes or outcomes between users.

8. Right to Modify Terms

ShipMatch reserves the right to change these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
